Walking in the midst of winter |
I am walking now About to finally escape the mist Of this Memory World And step into a world Full of Life As I open those oaken doors I feel a breeze brush up against me As the Crispness of Winter Clings to the air I look to the Full Moon Then turn, to take one last glance At the Memory World I had lived in For so long I take my first step forward Into what appears to me To be a foreign world But as I take that step forward My “home” fades, and soon disappears Along with the mist I am now walking Smiling as the Full Moon shines And the dewdrops fall Into such a beautiful world Full of Life I can smell the freshness and beauty In this new world that I have entered But even so, this world holds a sense of familiarity to it So as I took that first step, I smiled with a heart full of joy ‘Tadaima.’ A year has passed, And with returning to this world I feel as though my heart has been lifted. I am filled with a sense of relief ‘But what…’ I wonder ‘…has my heart been relieved of?’ I am now walking Being guided along this path That was formed for my arrival From that once present Memory World As I walk, I look to you, Full Moon And speak softly into the winter air ‘I want to thank you…’ The words flow into the whistling wind ‘…for you have guided me…’ Traveling across the night sky ‘…into this Crisp Life.’ |
