Alone On The Shelf

Here I set upon the Shelf;
No one is here, but me, my self.
If I could, I'd jump right down;
and have myself a look around.

I know, that if this could be done;
I would surely have such fun!
I'd turn the music up real loud!
Pretend I'm dancing in a crowd.

I'd find myself a pretty girl;
and I'd give her a little whirl.
But me, I'm just this little elf.
Sitting all alone, upon this shelf.
