Poem about suicide
I stand on the bridge
A worthless lump,
But something inside me
Says not to jump.

I try to ignore
The nagging voice,
I tell myself
I have no choice.

A bell chimes nearby
Signaling midnight,
I try once more
To finish the fight.

What happened next
I'm not quite sure,
But the stabbing pain
Was hard to endure.

I heard someone ask,
"What is her fate?"
And another one whisper,
"I'm afraid it's too late."
