Teenager meet while running away from bad homes. |
1 Jean Jacobs look out her window, feeling miserable about everything in her life, although she continues to try to look on the bright side, and be postive like everyone harps to be, she can't find anything happy on this drab day. She decides that she must write to help get her rage out. She has anger towards her mother for obivous reasons. She yells at her for not sitting right, at the table, she says her posture isn't good, and she should show that if people saw her sitting like that, that people would continously talk about how awful the posture of The Jacob's family is. She hated the fact that she made fun of her in this way, Jane isn't perfect afterall. She wrote down that example, but that is only one of many examples. She wrote how her father's death has shook the family when it first happened, it shook Jane's mother up a little until she realizied how much money she'd be inheirting, then she was cool about everything and didn't mourn at all. Jane still mourns of the loss of her father, she missed his prescence, she missed having someone to talk to her the way her father did. She missed it terribly. She knew she wouldn't have anyone to talk to except her best friend, Ellen Edwards, but she was gone on this particular day. So Jane was left alone with her cold mother that showed no emotion. I'm sixteen! I shouldn't be scared of this woman! She thought. Although she thought this, she knew that she was scared, and always will be scared of her. 2 Fifteen Miles Away Jack Landon sat on his bed, lonely, confused and a little sad. He was sick of his parents fighting all the time. He wanted to just get out of his life. He wanted to just wanted to leave, get out of this bitter hell he calls home. But where would he go? Where would he stay, a question that he didn't know the anwser of. He put a pillow to cover his ears so he wouldn't hear the battle in the living room. He just wanted to scream, but he couldn't utter a word. He decided to pack his bags. He couldn't stand this mess. He got money, some T-shirts, a few sweat shirts, a coat, pants, shorts and few dollars to, maybe too little, but he'd get by. He couldn't stay in this hellish mess anymore, he had to get out. 3 Jean walked through to the kitchen and went to the refridgerator to get something to drink. "What are you doing?" Her mother asked, as if she were stealing something. "I'm getting something to drink," she said. "Get out of here! You aren't to have anything until supper is to be started!" Jean's mother yelled. "What? All I want is a drink is that so hard to ask for?" Jean said, her anger rising. "Don't talk to me in that tone girl! GET UP TO YOUR ROOM!" She said. Never had mother gotten so upset over something so silly and stupid. Jean's anger reached heights she never thought possible, she couldn't help but think of every injust thing that her mother had done. Her anger rose and rose until Jean burst. "Mother do you know what, FUCK YOU! I refuse to go to my room, and I'm leaving, this is the LAST STRAW,Do you wanna know what I think of you? I wished you were the one who died instead of Daddy! Please Mother, die, you'd be doing the world a favor!" Jean yelled straight to her mother's face. She stormed to her room in rage, she slammed her door and locked it. She got a bag and threw some clothes, money etc. into a bag. She heard her mother banging at her door, "GIRL! OPEN THIS DOOR NOW! I SWEAR TO YOU! YOU'RE GOING TO BE GETTING A BEATING!" Jean heard the jangling of keys, Jean went to her window just as her door busted open and her mother grabbed a fistful of her clothes and dragged her back. "HOW DARE YOU!" Her mother screamed at her. She grabbed the nearest object and hit Jean, Jean fell onto her bed and passed out, total blackness carrying her far away 4 Jean awoke and she screamed. She screamed loud. She screamed, she wanted everyone to hear her. |
