a ablled i did for class based off confomity, i was playing beatnik bass to it :o)
Now Quiet down Daddy’os
and ill tell you cats a tale
concerning a red robin
and his sole flight to fail

our robins name was Mack
and he was held in the zoo
in a rusted silver cage
with birds, without clues

elephants all the same
no names in suits grey
there were painted parrots all around
saying what they was told to say

Zookeeper comin by
walkin through the manmade rows
sees Mack there needs some food
but trips, opens what was closed

All of a sudden Mack can see
the door was opening all the while
he saw his chance and spread his wings
cages fall behind the miles

he could hear this flowing sound
coming from his crimson wings
he breathes the air up in the sky
and for the first time, Mack, he sings

all below he sees boxes
as he takes in that birdseye veiw
an ocean full of angles
their very own grayscale zoo

Mack started looking all around
this enormous wasteland of square
and off in the distance he saw
a steeple piercing up through the air

he landed on a power line
and watched the other birds fight
each of them a tan color
his scarlet was their only sight

It was just too much for Mack
all this chatter coursin through the trees
about that new robin on the lines
with wings more red than fall leaves

So our red robin left
and he flew straight into sunset
wound up outside a cold window
without strength, without regret

inside there were people
who were not home asleep
they smoked and they sang
but black they all did keep

and so Mack flew away
for as long as he could go
maybe someday, he'll find his own forest
as for me, well, on with the show.
