A Piece of Advice

You knew that it would end in tears,
You knew that from the start,
Yet still you went ahead and tried
To give away your heart.

A few months later, it is over,
And yes indeed, it hurts,
That bastard doesn't know how much
His actions cost in desserts.

It's not the pain that matters.

No, the pain is just a side-dish,
