This Is Now

There’s a very distinct line
Between reality and dreams.
Between where everything is real
And where nothing’s what it seems.

Between a world of hate and lies
That cut beneath the skin
And a world where peaceful thoughts
Can come only from within.

The bitter, suffocating truth
Verses unreal fantasy.
So strange events would coincide
From two realities.

Where heartbreak meets ambition
The two worlds meet and then collide.
In a moment where the pressure
And the pain die and subside.

Well I’ve found the perfect moment,
And though I have, I don’t know how
But for now I won’t keep wondering.
I’m in this moment; this is now.

This time, a brief eternity
Where seconds turn to years.
A dreamlike state surrounds me
And drowns persistent fears.

A moment where I realize
That this is where I stay,
That this is where my heart belongs,
This is my only way.

My way to say I love you
And let you know it’s true,
My way to make you realize
My only one is you.

You don’t fail to amaze me
With every word you say.
With every single breath I take,
You take my breath away.

So right here in this moment
I hope that you can see
That I won’t ever leave you.
You’re the other part of me.

And though it seems so beautiful,
To amazing to be real
I tell myself it’s happening,
Remind myself to feel.

And smile at the thought of
The happiness I’ve found.
I’m staying lost forever
In this moment. This is now.
