Scarlet Cross is a pretty much rejected girl living out her life as an albino
Introduction
Do you know what sickens me the most? It’s the way my friends think their lives are worse than mine. They say “Oh my god! My mom and dad got mad at me just because I came home two hours late form my boyfriend’s party.” Hah! They think they have it bad; at least they can have a boyfriend/ girlfriend. I mean I’m fourteen frickin’ years old! I think I should be allowed to have a boyfriend (not that any guy would date me) and at least they don’t have to put up with a preppy twelve year old sister that acts like a forty year old and has a bigger social life than they do. The last time I had a friend over was about three years ago.
Everyday I sit with the same seven people who I referred to as my ‘friends’ in the beginning. Well to be perfectly honest, I only have one friend, and she is what most people would say ‘imaginary’. But to me she is very real. Well I can see why people think she’s imaginary. First of all, I’m the only one who can see her and second you wouldn’t believe if I told you; she is only five years old, has blue hair down to her shoulders, she wears a pink jumper and her name is Julie? I don’t think so, but to me she is real and that’s all that matters in my life.
Anyway moving on, at our lunch table there are eight of us, none of us are friends but sit together because we have one thing in common. We are all rejects. The first on my list is Jenny she’s a slut, plain and simple. She has no friends that are girls and she’s always juggling five or six boyfriends at a time. She never sits with them, because she’s living in fear of them finding out that their not the only guy in Jenny’s life. Then there’s Kevin. He’s a computer geek, who in his fee time goes on disgusting web sites, plays weird games and talks to his ‘cyber buddies’. Third is Joe, he’s probably the most normal of us all. He’s just unthinkably smart (ha ha get it) and very shy around people he isn’t used too. Next is Kyle, he’s a druggie or a drug addict, what ever you want to call it. He’s usually high on one thing or the other and when he’s not, he can be a real bastard. But thank god he smokes in the bathrooms because he if he didn’t most of us would be dead meat. Christina is a fidgety girl who thinks her teachers are out to kill her. So when a teacher calls on her in class,(which teachers have learned not to do) she gets even more fidgety and might not answer the question the teacher asked. Allison is an anorexic and she’s not even fat it’s all because in sixth grade she got the stupid idea in her head that she was fat because she wasn’t as skinny as me (I’m naturally a toothpick). Dan is a ‘bad boy’ as he calls himself or a “horn dog” as I call him. The sad thing is that name that he gave himself and the name I gave him describes him perfectly. He mouths off parents (I’m afraid to even talk to mine), teachers, and political figures. He’s also managed to get a couple of girls into his bed, including Jenny hence the horn dog. But lately his newest obsession has been me and I swear if he even lays a finger on me I’ll castrate him with a rusty spoon.
Lastly there is me, Scarlet. I am as dumb as a doornail. I have a strange sense of humor, I’m albino, really bad eye sight, and I have my imaginary friend. Now, you’re probably thinking ‘She doesn’t seem like that much of a reject well that’s because I haven’t told you why I am a reject. The first reason is that my hair changes by it’s self and it’s not those normal colors either it’s more like green, red, blue, orange, purple, pink, yellow black, bluish black, silver, gold, sparkly you know all those colors and more so I don’t need hair dye. People thought it was cool until they found out it was natural then they kind of backed off. Then the next reason rolls around Julie people found out about Julie and back away as fast a their legs could carry them. The third is that I wear nothing but black clothing so people naturally assume I’m a Satanist. I’m not a Satanist people I’m a Wiccan or for your tiny little brains I’m a witch. Lastly my brother is convinced that I’m a vampire and he know for a fact that I do not drink blood *sigh* brothers.
Well this is my life and it's about to get freaky.
