Sweet Release?

A man who has lived through the deaths of thousands fears not the ending of his life but yearns for a finality to the agonies of helplessness, the pains of inability, a man who has lost all wants only one thing… a means to an end.

If one such person was given those means would they make the end their own or of those who allowed and caused such meaningless suffering? Would they hunger for revenge or revel in this sweet release?
