A poem about an abusive Mother, and an unknowing father
You threw my body
With such a rage
I lay there motionless
Hurting for days

You did nothing but yell
With such a forceful tone
As I sunk into my shell
Afraid and alone

For Daddy never knew
He too believed your lies
He never understood
Why his little girl cried

You said it was all my fault
That what I did was wrong
But now I’m older I know
That it was you all along

As a woman now I see
And can forgive you for what you’ve done
But never again will I ever call you…
“Mum”
