We used to laugh so loud.
We used to be so proud.
We used to dance.
We used to be the perfect romance.

Can we make love...like we used to.
Can we please hug...like we used to.
My heart is in pain...I need you to stay.
I need us to be...like we used to be.

We used to read poetry in the candle light.
We used to stay awake and talk all night.
We used to display our love so tenderly.
Now you are telling me that we're just not meant to be.

Can we make love...like we used to.
Can we please hug...like we used to.
