Make yourself heard

We ravish and plunder and tear it apart.
We slice it and dice it and rip out its heart
It's oceans we poison and rid them of life.
And we dare question, why our world’s in such strife.



The grass that was green,is now a dull grey.
The icecaps are melting and will drown us one day.
Our air is a toxin that we daily breathe in.
And no-one owns up to this terrible sin.



The factories churn out their monstrous smoke.
The planes that are flying carry way too much folk.
The oil tankers bleed their blackened blood.
All while proclaiming they’re misunderstood.



So what can we do to save our dear friend?
To veer us away from a terrifying end.
Don’t be afraid of being considered absurd.
Stand up and be counted and make yourself heard!
