Notice of leave

No eye contact, no movement, dominate the room by violence, motive, all potential hostages, looking for ransom or to make a point, at some point contact has to be made, make a bond so they think of you as human, handle carefully, body language is important, if one person cant control his emotion and he panic’s so will everyone. Be As un-noticeable as possible, don’t try to be hard an stare, behave as normal as possible, if you retaliate after a beating you’ll get worse, fear will pray on your mind and you’ll think of family and friends. Refusing basic rights to the passengers, everyone drained, uncomfortable, atmosphere electric, tension builds .they are not getting what they want, victim reduced to being a child, permission to do the most mundane things, life not in your hands, strategy of the last resort: last option. Everyone is jumpy, if something sets the terrorist off get out of the line of fire fast,

I turn the book over and stare at the authors Nivia conditioned face. Colgate teeth and Dunstore’s fleece. The words of a man who knows nothing but text. He’s never been in a hostage situation. Never seen the bulging red veined eyes of your captor or seen the sweaty palms cocking the desert eagle 5.0. Never felt the crushing weight of tension as you wonder who’ll be next. Praying they won’t catch your eye, or worse your families.
I sat back sighed willing the tension out of my muscles. My body was tort with anxiety. Peering around the walls of my room, my eyes closed slowly. The lights were out in the hall, silence had taken the household. Everyone was asleep. And as usual I was the only one left awake. “A mild form of Insomnia. Most likely you’re just anxious”. The doctor had said. Clap Clap Froid. It didn’t take a genius to figure out I was pretty high strung.
I gazed down at the body lying beside me. The blankets like a pita wrap creating a snug comfort. Quilt hit me as I recalled my actions tonight. I had arrived home from work late, the stink of brandy on my breath. Lisa had been waiting at the table. Her steely eyes watched me as I peeled off my coat and slung it over my chair. I lent on the chair and looked at the elaborate cold feast before me. I was drunk and the words seemed to take forever to come. “I’m sorry” I slurred. The uncomfortable silence lingered as she stood blew out the candles. Before she walked out she turned. “so what’s knew Craig?”. She slumped up to bed.
