bad poetry

Yesterday, all my appendages seemed good and right
Now I do regret running the red light
Oh, I wish it had been a knife fight.

Suddenly, I am just a mess - two thumbs gone
I feel lower than a mantis prawn
oh, yesterday I had brawn.

Why I had to run that stupid, stupid light.
I had opposing thumbs before last night.

Yesterday, thumb wrestling was a game we played
Now I'll never hold another garden spade
ow, I just spilled my lemonade.

Why the thumbs had to go I never know
I ran that light, went against the flow.

Yesterday, thumbs where mine but they're gone away.
I never hold another tray,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.
