This poem I wrote last year.
Just because I’m different
Doesn’t mean I can’t do the same things,
Doesn’t mean I can’t play the same sports,
Doesn’t mean I can’t have fun,
Just because I’m different
It doesn’t mean you have the right to point and whisper about me,
It doesn’t mean you can laugh about me behind my back,
It doesn’t mean I don’t have feelings,
Just because I’m different
Doesn’t mean I don’t want friends,
Doesn’t mean I won’t be a caring friend,
Just because I’m different ---- can you please try to care?
