I love fantasy poems and this was my first try as far as elves go.
The full moon hangs in the dark sky
Lighting my unknown path
Wind grows strong sweeping past many trees
Blowing away autumn's last leaves

My dark hair streams past my face
The cold inside me, I feel its embrace

I spot him glowing in the distance
The moons halo reflects his resilient skin
Standing quiet and tall
My heart flutters at his call

I walk forward feeling the damp grass beneath my bare feet
The taste of his smile remains sweet

His hand reaches out for mine
I place my tiny hands within his grasp
He draws me close, very near
His fluent elvish voice is all I hear

His words remain fresh upon my lips
Running down my spine and through my finger tips

For he is an Elf and I, Human
Two beings brought together underneath the stars
Forgetting our differences, embracing love
Our fate rests in the skies above

Holding me close, almost one
Breathing him in smells of earth and sun

Streams of blonde hair caress my skin
Wind flows stronger now
I feel the smoothness of his lips
Breathing inside each other
The warmth of his body radiates within me

His soft voice whispers past my ears:
"I've traveled many distances to be here.
To hear your voice, to see your face.
Ten thousand angels could not break my stare.
I give you this ring, made of silver, oh maiden of fair.
Handcrafted by elves of long ago
It is of strength, it is of life.
But most of all, love, and so I ask you to be my mortal wife."

"I want you as I will always.
I shall love you until the end of our days.
I am no longer eternal.
I shall age the same as you.
Together we will remain.
My facade will change, no longer shall youth sustain."

Tears follow the curves of my face
"The ring I accept.
For I shall wear it proudly!
Together we shall fly.
Living out our dreams in an ever radiant sky!"
