His Splendor

If I could gather all the stars
and assemble all the planets,
to make for Christ a crown and
place it on His head,

Christ would still,
in all His Glory,
Outshine them,
all as one.

Arrayed in all their splendor,
the stars cannot outshine
the Son.

And yet, He makes for me a crown,
of beauty no eye has seen,
for how I've lived my life,
and obeyed the King of Kings.

My Lord shall place it on my head,
and it's glory shall be rare,
and though I've earned it in this life,
I return it to the Master!
