Please tell me which one you are rating. No: One Through the dungeons I stole, while everyone slept, Until I came upon the cage where the dragon was kept; there locked into place, a regal creature, all tattered and torn, yet, smiling as he lay, beaten and worn. I left that place, climbing the clock tower in early morning light, it was midday at least and my journey was not done. The clock never sounded, the dragon was released. For there sitting atop the tower was the regal beast. I tossed the dragon a line, for which he took; off in flight we did go, without a second look. Down and around we flew, to a lagoon I never knew, the regal beast and I squatted by the luminous lagoon. By waters green and fresh as yet. The regal dragon stirred the waters with a tattered nail and I with a withered stick. Then a flash split the sky, the lagoon ripped asunder, The dragon had whispered a rune, magic was wrought. There from lagoon there rose a monstrous balloon, I stepped back into the fens as the heavens did shake, a tempest, through lightening and thunder. But I did not quake. Darkness did not rise from the lagoon. Where there was once a monstrous balloon, now a mate did stand. Within the deep marshes now they reside singing to themselves by the luminous lagoon. ©Deady 2006-05-27 No: two Desolate and alone She did wait For many an moon inside the lake With fog trails and the mist creeps Calls and cries that seemed neverending Like some lost love In tears and trouble Her heart did swoon When the spell cast did break For now she could look into her lovers eyes Her heart beating deeply in her breast No longer did she harbour in the lagoon And no tales of hunting were in her head. ©Deady 2006-05-27 |
