in the glow
of the vast darkness, reaching beyond
what we know

a fire muted
from the falseness of fear, our greatness
dissolves slow

come and go
beyond the hillside, far below
they break free and

a wave anchored
doesn’t flow, cannot leap and linger
dropping low while
we dance

let it grow
cut the weight, drop the shackles
look back at those
who dance
