A kiss is nothing to my bite Flesh pierced within by ivory fang Such ecstasy to lose all sense of time Slipping silently into the embrace of death Panic fading away into peace As I wipe my face clean of their blood I see the corpse, fresh with marks of fang And I stop, losing all sense of time There is another one, dealing death I will hunt them, till then no peace Redden the buildings with their blood My territory, my home, my prey to bite I hunt long, but I care not for time Never to me will time bring death I pause to feed, but still no peace I have not found that which steals my blood That other who openly leaves their bite A vampire challenge, like flashing fang But now I feel this hunt may bring my death For the other is clever, never disturbs the peace Leaves no trace, not struggle nor blood Hiding every mark of his bite I wonder- why has he not come to face my fangs? Is he coward, does he bide his time? I return to my den, seeking peace Heavy and sated with thick red blood Four corpses scattered bearing my bite So now I tonight need no more my fangs I look forwards to the day, respite for a time A calm haven from bloody death As I sleep, in steals the other, hungry for blood I lie, neck bared, ready to bite He takes the chance, into my neck sinking his fangs We remain locked together for too long a time As my vision dims, I know now death He goes forth, to his new territory, I lie in peace As the vampire bites, sinking his fangs For all of time linked to all others in blood As he gave me peace, one day another will drink his blood |
