When I sailed Across the Sea...

I used to be a very quiet person
Before I sailed across the sea
But the sea just drove me crazy
As you can plainly see

I never used to talk
Before I sailed across the sea
But I was driven mad
By the things that I did see

I saw many, many creatures
When I sailed across the sea
Many of them were frightening
Some were as sweet as can be

I saw things that looked like monsters
When I sailed across the sea
They frightened me to death,
And they even tried to eat me!

I saw things as pretty as roses
When I sailed across the sea
They were lovely, nice, and charming
And were very kind to me

Yes, I saw the whole world
When I sailed across the sea
People of every culture
From China to Hawaii

But sometimes I really wish
Instead of sailing across the sea
I would have just stayed home
And controlled my curiosity

Because late at night I dream
About my journey across the sea
And the dreams won’t leave my head
For they cause such grief and agony

And that is the reason why
Because of my trip across the sea
I will never be the same
Normal person that I used to be

I used to be quiet and timid
Before I sailed across the sea
But now I’m a different person
And nothing can be done to save me
