Prose written for a collaborated book in progress. This was written quite some time ago. |
The Prophecy of Eld-lerem The interval of woe is at hand, When terror will stalk the land. Within a millennium the die is cast, As the balance begins a seventh year. If in this time it comes not to pass, The woe will await ‘til next year. A three-fold item of power, Forged at the door of the lower tower. Empires clash in a smaller land, While truth is sundered by Evil’s hand. Then a presence appears though no one shall see, Not even The Powers can control this destiny. The horde will arise; the time draws near- And mortals whisper the interval of woe is here! Legend tells that a power driven mage summoned a demon to learn undiscovered magic. This first mage was said to be driven insane and survived long enough to pen the poem known as the ‘Scroll of Prophecy”. This artifact is better known to the races of Aden in present time as, “The Prophecy of Eld-lerem. Most sages now agree that the demon the mage summoned possessed him. It’s unknown whether the scroll can be trusted. Authors Note: This work of prose was written long ago for the world I created for Dungeons & Dragons. Currently my fiance' and I are collaborating on a fantasy novel series based upon the adventures the many characters we've all created over the years for my campaign have had. You can read what my fiance' trose has already posted of our first novel entitled, "At Hand" in her port. I will also provide the link to the item here.
We hope you enjoy it! This is something we've wanted to do for a long time and are very proud of it thus far. Check back often for new chapters! |
