A tragic tale of a boy's abduction |
A little boy who never knew a stranger in his life, Enlightened our lives each day with a smile so bright, Until one day it happened, and he was swept away Stolen by a madman on that all too tragic day How we miss him! In his absence we still hear his laughter in every room The knowledge that we may never see him again filling us with gloom I still imagine hearing him leaving for school with a sweet goodbye I crumble from the heartache before breaking down and cry How we miss him! The little boy was loved by everyone he knew I can still recall the day he lost his first tooth I can’t help but wonder what he’s being subjected to Can still imagine hearing him say, “Mommy, I love you” How we miss him! I can’t help recalling how he cherished his grandparents, Or how his tiny face lit up when seeing his cousins, uncles, and aunts I cannot bear to look at the toys my little one did cherish I pray to God each night that my little boy hasn’t perished How we miss him! How I wish I could awaken from this nightmarish dream I feel as though I’ve lost my mind, and I want to scream Until my little boy has returned and is safe with me, I’ll pray to God Almighty that my little one is set free How we miss him! |
