poem about things i've realized in life |
should i just shut my mouth? turn around and then sit down? waste my life just throw it out? curl in a ball lay on the ground? disguard the talents that i've found? inhale the smoke ignore the sound? wish i could but i don't know how, defenseless against music's power overtaken every waking hour, wether i'm in class or in the shower, an outlet to disguise a coward, it's worked for me at least for now. dream that one day i'll take that bow in front of millions screaming out wishing to be me somehow that's worshiping the golden cow. be yourself and stand your ground don't lock your mind and let nothing out, raise your voice speak to the crowd, no such thing as being too loud. uphold your morals keep your vows, don't let yourself get too proud or your life will start heading south. wake up one morning in a cloud of confusion and you can't get out, in the shitter don't want to drown but it's too late they've flushed you down, feel your life spin round and round until you're living underground. expect more from them than you have now your child is the future pal it's your job to teach them how to keep their heads, feet on the ground dont turn their smiles into frowns teach em to ignore the clowns and educate themselves somehow so they can grow up and move out and one day they will figure out what this life is all about...
