an enigma!
Don’t stress now, must keep going, It’s just started
Once filled with alacrity, now filled with a craving for a pause
There’s no time, so much to be done as well as planned
My actions tonight, frightfully, influence my chances tomorrow
I look forward to resting my head, during sleep, gaining power
So that my tomorrow’s chances are good, I may take action

My head may be spinning in chaos and accelerating action
Coming to the seventh week, it feels as though we’ve just started
School is a challenge, but at work my boss is enjoying her power
Turn up the volume, clean, don’t bother putting the tape on pause
The ladies can walk-in in the middle, rewind for tomorrow
Working two years for $6.50 an hour was surely not planned

All the things that must get done, should be scheduled and planned
My life is like a movie filled with drama, comedy, and little action
Ever so often, I’ll spend a day forgetting my yesterday and tomorrow
I cherish those days; I’m at best when I’m just getting started
For I have the rest of the day to look forward to; Put the world on pause
Those impeccable days instill a much needed lift of emotional power

At home lies another challenge, Dad, and his hunger for power
Though they’re not, our confrontations seem planned
But that’s too much work, if busy, he doesn’t dare pause
He stays the same, I improve, make a move, take action
In getting closer to a new, better off than when I started
Another argument today, hold on, I’ll be gone tomorrow

My mother, my best friend, highlights of today and tomorrow
It’s tacit, she’s full of strength, she holds a certain power
Full of grace and love, she sends it before the day’s even started
Making life pleasant, so much fun, her wit’s never planned
After a week of stress, work, an overload of action
Enjoying each others presence while stressful thoughts are put on pause

My busy schedule, hardly any time, for a pause
Study for a test, homework is due tomorrow
Can’t wait for a break, looking for fun, seeking action
Capable of more than I know, so much energy and power
I try to keep organized, keeping things orderly and planned
It’s fascinating to see where I end up from where I’ve started

I’m working hard, better keep it up, I’ve only just started
So much to do, things unexpected and goals planned
Through such an enigma, I’ll attain experience, knowledge and power
