I searched and found a paradise,
an isle of sun and sea.
A gathering of lush green hills
which stood majestically.
It's chalky cliffs rose firm and tall
against the pounding surf
on this peaceful isle of quietude,
the last great place on earth.
I watched the moon rise over
the lofty ocean bluff
in the calm and soothing ocean air.
I couldn't have lingered enough.
In the venting hollow of wilderness
that drops below the sea,
a cool, fresh water spring trickles
in the midst of wind swept trees.
Last week a crew came in
to build a take-out shack
where you can buy some lobster tail
or Duck a la' Orange by quack!
Now some may think this place elite
but be damned the lavish cost!
They took away the last great place.
My paradise is lost!
