This poem is pure fantasy inspired by a painting I saw.
Dancing to Bob Seger's song
in the dark, pink tiles gleam.
Stars are heavy in the heavens.
Moon sends forth his lustrous beams.
In the venue rigid columns
stand collected vertically;
thirty-five stories above the ground,
dancing on my balcony.

Suddenly a form appears,
a pale pink, hazy apparition.
I sway, it sways....I whirl, it whirls,
I stand, it stands in the same position.
Am I frightened? No siree!
This shadowy form moves gracefully.
Thirty-five stories above the ground
a dancing wraith is here with me.
