Our Government

They tell us to vote, but how are we to choose?
All they do is gloat, and all we do is loose.
Teens shipped off in their boats. Freedom died for, but who's?
The constitution was wrote, but them respect it? Some ruse!

Get help from the Government?
I'm not here for an argument.
But do they need to repent,
for all the lives that are spent?

How much more can we pay, and watch them throw it away?
We can't believe what they say.
All they do is betray.
This message is here to relay, and not to lead astray.
Today is the day!
There's no more time for delay.

They don't want us to know, that it's all in their plan.
They don't want us to grow; afraid we'll make a stand.
They only put on a show; think they'll hold out a hand?
They never reap what they sow; they don't even own the land.
