In the dark I wait,
Dreading my morbid fate.
Closer and closer I feel them creep,
As I slowly weep.
I feel upon my shoulder a clawed hand,
This is too much… more than I can stand.
All I want is to scream and yell,
To hopefully send them all to hell.
But I know this isn’t so,
I feel the sharp pain… I beg please no.
All these years of hate,
I want to slowly abate.
I want to let go,
Then I don’t have to show.
Just how much fear I’m feeling,
As I sit here kneeling.
They begin to take heed,
There is no need for me to plead.
It is time I face,
My fate… at my own untimely pace.
