Seen only as a crescent cap,
the crimson, fiery inferno,
slides below the tree line
on the horizon across the land;
opposite, already lifted in its arc,
a full moon's glow
illuminates the bay water,
appearing as etched silver icing,
and glistens off the white, beach sand...
The Old Man-in-the-Moon,
has taken up his night watch,
the birds have sung their final evening call;
a gentle ocean breeze,
begins to flow over the dunes,
I find reward in this life
from it all....
Only the brightest of stars
will be visible tonight,
the sky clear, not a cloud to be viewed;
a marvelous globe
upon where we experience our being,
with this moment, my spirit is renewed.
