Sharon had Christmas celebration.Still, she felt emptiness in her heart.
Sharon had a Christmas celebration at her big and rich home with her friends and her family. They had played games and alot of fun. They had a lot of Christmas presents. She thought she felt happy in this Christmas, but actually she felt an emptiness in her heart.

She invited Xiaoping who was poor, to her Christmas party. Xiaoping’s father was a laborer and her mother was a seamstress. Sharon’s friends laughed at her and her family because she had no money.

But Xiaoping was very happy as Sharon invited her. She was a sincere friend towards the Sharon. Compared to Xiaoping, Sharon’s friends were “curry-flavoring” her because she was a rich girl and her father owned a big company.

There was a shuffle of presents and each girl received one present. It was time to open up the presents. Sharon received a snowman ornament. She felt displeased and bored because she thought the present had no use towards her. She decided to give it to her poor friend. Xiaoping had received a box of chocolates. She felt very happy because she thought that chocolate was a luxury.

Everybody went back home, left only Sharon and Xiaoping at Sharon's home. Sharon told Xiaoping that she felt very unhappy that her so-called real friends flattered her but laughed at Xiaoping. Xiaoping comforted her. Sharon asked Xiaoping what her Christmas wish was. Xiaoping told her that she hoped that she could go to school next year. Suddenly Sharon had an idea. She asked her parents to support her poor friend and her family financially. And her parents agreed her request. Both girls were very happy. Sharon asked her friend whether she liked her Christmas gift. Xiaoping replied, “This is my best Christmas and birthday present I had ever have.”
