Photo Of 1000 Words

These photos have been erased
They're now just shadows on a wall
The frames hold empty images
Images from a past long forgotten
They still hold their 1000 words
But those 1000 words have been silenced
Never to be heard again
Light tries to rationalise their hollowness
But it works to no avail
They have become a void
A void of lost memories
Pictures have been imprinted with black
All the colour is clouded
And they set like concrete
Concrete containing inscriptions
Inscriptions that tell a story
1000 words make up this story
And those words are slowly diminishing
Time is up for these photos
They've been removed from the wall forever
