The years pass by, as you become old
Choices you've made, your life only you hold
A mountain before you, yet a different kind
For the mountain before you is all in your mind

How will you search for the spirit that hides
Beneath all your anger and those you despise?
The love that hides within you it seems
Existed for me only in my dreams

Your travels will take you away on a plane
Yet without looking within, you will come home the same
And the life you are missing, will never be found
To misery and sadness, your life will be bound

The answers you seek, you already know
If you search in your heart you will see this is so
Your spirit is torn in confusion and pain
Yet your legacy is destined to be left only in name

Your journey is before you, whatever the cost
To find your peace, and no longer be lost
Your mountain awaits you in time yet to come
True love and happiness, before you life is done

Torn between Indian and Irish, it's all the same
For you see Gordon, it's from God where you came
If you would simply just close your eyes
Let love fill your heart and your spirit will rise

My wish for you is that you will climb
That mountain and find what's been there all the time
Inside of your heart waits a goodness to share
And blessed be you with a family who care

And so with these words from my heart I do write
May all the wrongs in your life become right

When your spirit flies free from all of your sorrow

For on that day you will search no more
And your life will be as never before
