Harsh ever wind betray me not and blow,
Glazing sky deceive me not and quickly snow,
Let not my foe heed my steps nor trace them, let them not know.

Eager birds fly over me another time and leave me my life,
Sharp stones do not harm me now with your sharp ended knife,
Slow me not today for tomorrow I might no longer be alive.

Great beasts of the forest linger not near me, not today,
Oh lovely sun shine not today to steal my strength, do go away,
Weaken me not, no not today for it might be my life you betray.

Leave me my life today; let me reach the golden gate,
My belief I must strengthen, I must have faith,
Betray me not, and tomorrow I shall company without debate.
