How can one survive a broken heart on a winter day?
Deadly Winter

Lonely dark nights I’ve been through,
Shivers ran up and down my spine too,
My hands join together and gather the falling snow,
As they drop they no longer seem to be magnificent or glow.

Your back turned towards me and left me here all alone,
The last words you said were in such a hurtful tone,
You walked away and simply left me in tears,
Your hatred love for me is no more than what it appears.

I couldn’t believe I thought you were the one,
I used to think that snow was as white as a swan,
But now everything is a blur and no longer have a meaning to me,
You said those three words and said we were meant to be.

Now I know everything that you told me was just a lie,
Every hope and dream we used have will fade and die,
Wishes and beliefs were what I had in you all the way through,
But the one who crushed these desires was you.

I watch the gray scenery of snow falling on the path,
My steps create a deadly cold rhythm filled with wrath,
But this anger I have was filled with hurt, stings, and sadness,
The weeping trees I pass lose its beauty as the leaves become less and less.

As the wind hoarsely howled I grab my jacket a bit tighter,
With every step I take it seems that my world isn’t getting any brighter,
Footprint trails are left behind me in this lonely hemisphere,
I let out a puff of air and watched the fog fade as I shivered in fear.

The blanketed land of snow is all I can see,
What a lonely feeling it is to no longer fly free,
To soar in happiness and see heart warming smiles,
This road I’m taking seems to be a million miles.

My legs are becoming weak and my breathing is now uneven,
Joy and love are things that I no longer believe in,
My heart has been frozen and cracked right in the center,
I collapse onto the freezing ground on this deadly winter.
