I thought of you

I thought of you today,
the thought crept upon me while I was not looking,
it quietly entered a corner of my mind and sat there patiently waiting,

Being busy, I hardly noticed the thought,
I did not see it as it began cleaning nearby,
just a little dusting and straightening at first,
but soon it had swept away all the stress and anger building up that day,

It placed concern and worry neatly on a shelf ,
sadness disappeared and ceased to exist,
as my mind became clearer, the thought grew.

It began to spread throughout my body,
carrying a blanket of warmth and Happiness ,
wrapping around me keeping me safe and warm.

Vivid images of you began to form as I was transported to a place of complete happiness and love.
time no longer had a beginning or end,

Finally I had time to look, feel and hear,
I could look at our memories and see that before you came into my life,
I was not whole.

I lived a shell of a life,Spending time and money on meaningless things.
What I thought was important or that I loved,
all shadows of a distant past that grows farther away with each day we spend.

You are my friend, my love, my life,
without you, I would be part of those shadowy images floating away to nothingness….

You anchor me to a beautiful world,
full of life and love and beauty.

I see you in my mind as the Sun that brightens my life,
and warms my heart down to the center of my soul.

Your voice and laughter are music,
music that enters my ears and lifts my spirits to the highest of planes,
beyond what we can see or comprehend.

My heart feels a love that will last for all of time and beyond,
the brightest of stars yet to be discovered,
this is the power of you,
the power you have over me in but a single thought.

These little thoughts visit me every day and once they enter my mind,
they stay with me forever,
dancing and laughing in my mind and in my heart,
helping me laugh, live and love,

Helping me to be the me you have made me.
without you there is no life,
without you, there is no me.
