You Rescued Me

My Heart was breaking,
my mind and my spirit failing.
Then, there you were.
You rescued me.
My world was falling apart,
the life I built crumbling.
In despair I sank to a place I had never been,
nor ever believed I would be.
You did not judge.
When all around me began to grow dark,
you were my bright spot that shone the way,
my pillar of fire in the darkness of night.
I believe you were Heaven sent,
an answer to my heartfelt prayers.
You are the one for whom my Soul had been searching,
filling a void in my heart of which I was unaware, until --
You rescued me.
