Faltering Ego

As I  listen to your criticizm my ego starts to falter,
I cant take all this negativity it's making me crazy.
what you don't seem to be comprehending is im doing everything I can
yet you criticize me and tell me how you where when you were my age.
news flash im not you , and your not me .
you think you know everything, all about me .
so I sit emotionless as my world starts to falter and slowely crashes down,
because all you seem to be seeing is what im not and what you use to be.
im doing my best why cant you see? just realize im not you and your not me and quit analyzing me like a book, and try to see the shaken girl standing before you.
just once say you think I can, that im doing a good job, that you believe in me . thats all I need, and your still not comprehending me because you continue to criticize me , and my ego begins to falter once again.
