My defense of our terrific moderators
THESE ARE MY OPINIONS AND NOT MEANT TO OFFEND ANYONE, BUT MERELY POINT OUT THAT WE'RE ALL HUMAN AND SHOULD STRIVE TO KEEP WDC A PEACEFUL AND LOVING COMMUNITY. THERE'S ENOUGH DISHARMONY IN THE WORLD. *Smile*

Recently, by request being as I confess to not reading blogs, I read a most disturbing one that belittled several moderators. Not only did I find it offensive, but couldn’t believe how the individual attacked them. The first thought that sprang to mind was “A moderator’s job is to do just that. Moderate.” The ones chosen for this privilege have more than earned the promotion. He/she has worked hard to make WDC the wonderful community it is. I found the blog entry not only repulsive, but an insult to the community as well. This individual also belittled the “Dear Me” contest sponsored by the StoryMaster and StoryMistress, which I also found appalling. This person had the audacity to make some most demeaning remarks that insinuated the community was not one of harmony.

Now I take the time to voice my opinion. WDC is a wonderful and thriving community to those who are serious writers and aspiring ones. I admire and respect the moderators and everyone else here. Most will readily agree that WDC is a sensational site, and that its community is simply outstanding. It is not one of partiality as the Individual I speak of insinuated, but one where we strive to make prosper. I’m elated to be part of this wonderful community! To attack a moderator is to attack the community and what it represents...a loving and giving community that I respect. My final words...leave the moderators alone and let them do their job! They are here to help.
