Story about a Monster in a kids room |
I hear it at night when I turn out the light The monster under my bed. It’s big and green And looks pretty mean! He won't go away, he wants to stay I told him to go, but he shook his head no. I gave him a nudge but he still wouldn't budge. So I fired ten missiles from my army launcher But he dodged them quick as you please This called for a drastic maneuver So I charged under my bed with my mom’s Hoover. He gave a roar and ran for the closet Oh, great, now I have a monster in my closet! Now this made me sore So I cried This is war! I sent an army of soldiers dressed in green followed by a troop of dinosaurs looking so mean He welcomed them with a grin and ate them with glee! I screamed that's enough It’s time to get tough . You asked for it, Monster I said. I picked up and threw with aim true, Into the closet my sneaker One whiff of the sneaker Made the monster grew weaker. So I tossed in my dirty socks for good measure He staggered out gasping for air. He coughed and collapsed with a wheeze and accused me of not playing fair. This happens every time I have committed no crime! He cried Then holding his nose with his eight hairy toes the monster staggered across the floor smashing right through the door. I was rid of him once and for all. The very next night as I turned out my light I heard my sister shout out to my mother, Mom, there is a monster in my room! |
