A children's book that I would like to get published. |
Tell me of the night, father The night is our mistress, daughter She watches over us and protects us Tell me of the moon, father The moon is our mistress' eye, daughter She is so timeless and eternal That it takes a month for her to wink at us Tell me of the stars, father The stars are our reward from her, daughter For each fear confronted and defeated She ignites a new star in the sky to light our path Tell me of the shadows, father The shadows are her mark on us, daughter To let us know that she is always with us Watching our steps and taking care of us What about when I close my eyes, father That is her greatest gift of all, daughter For that is when we enter her realm And she shows us our desires And even the impossible is possible But what about the bad dreams, father Those are to remind us, daughter That the worst of fears dispel when shown the light And that nothing is so bad That we cannot wake up from it And face the light once more Now go to sleep my daughter And dream your desires And confront your fears Knowing that our mistress night Is watching over you And keeping you safe Tell me of the night, father Tell me of the night |
