A poem for the little ones |
Thank you janiesjournal for the pretty purple ribbon! If I Were Invisible If I were invisible How grand my life would be! I could do what'ere I want And none of you could see. I would throw the dishes ’round Amuck I’d run undaunted. Such grand pranks for you abound You’d think your house was haunted. I’d sneak up slowly next to you And pinch you while you slept. Nibble your nose, tickle your toes I’d trip you as you stepped. I would hide your keys from you And then short-sheet your bed. Put peanut butter in your shoe Pandemonium widespread. Take one of each pair of socks And throw it in the trash. At night I would cut off your locks Unseen, away I’d dash. I’d mix some dirt in with your tea I’d go on a mischief spree! Oh, how grand my life would be If I were invisible. |
