From Behind My Eyes

If you could see from behind my eyes,
What a different world you would see!
What you think is anger is the expression of fear.
What you think is joy, masks the saddened soul

If you could see from behind my eyes,
What a different world you would see!
What you think is fat, is a wall of protection.
What you think is over-eating, is showing you my drug of choice.

If you could see from behind my eyes,
Here’s the world you would see!
What is others joy, creates in me envy.
What is others successes reflects my failures.

If you could see from behind my eyes,
Here's the world I'd like you to see.
What you think is my joy is really joy.
What you think is anger, is anger and fear.

If you could see from behind my eyes,
It would be my world you'd see.
When I know I am doing my best I still fail
When I put forth love, it comes back - sometimes broken

If you could see from behind my eyes,
Here’s what you would see,
What you see as strength is really my faith.
What you see as my faith is the presence of God
