My hope for the valley |
The view here brings tears to my eyes So beautiful I could stand here forever The breeze is warm on my skin And the air smells like rain To have time off is to feel perfect Time to waste with no agenda tonight Time to sit and think or not This time is for mine own enjoyment But there’s something I want to do But I’m not sure if I should I want to tell you how I feel about things But that seems to be impossible Maybe if you just said the first words Started the first sentence I could then finish it and say what I want As long as you promise to hear me out I think that you would given the chance The problem falls where in what you would think Would you laugh at my hearts contents So that I may be humiliated again It doesn’t matter though Because you will never hear what I truly feel The people around us put on so many restrictions So that our life is no longer up to us So as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death My trek will once again begin and end alone But each pass through the valley makes me stronger Because each time the burdens increase just a little more The hard part is knowing that I must return By the only way that I came Back through the valley I will come Back to the place that I call home The reason I continue though Is that that is my friends’ home also I’ll once again see smiling faces And once again shall I unload my pack to others This place I call home provides hope Hope that the next pass will be easier Hope that I may never have to leave Also the knowledge that I have become stronger So once again I walk the valley Looking forward to the return trip Because that means that I’ll soon be home Where the not so wild things are… |
