Steel fire wings
night flight into day
Star chaser, I call you--
from shore to shore you go
thrumming engine melodies that flow
into my being, fear to allay--
Oh, joyous meanderings!
To far shres and distant climes you go
where air itself takes part in this joy--
shimmer shine on, next thing to birdflight
I enter a cage of steel and find myself a wing song
held aloft under burning light.
