The Missing Memoir

I'm writing an interactive novel for my uni major project. Here is my idea for the storyline so far:

There can be no future without a past...
The protagonist wakes up in a hospital to find that he has lost his memories. There is no future for him, that is until Cara, an apprentice nurse, promises him that he will not be alone.
But calm never lasts, as one day, a group of gunwielders barge into the hospital and wants the protagonist dead. Our hero escapes with Cara, who is clearly hiding something from him, but what?
The protagonist is determined to know what is going on.
