My wife
She is soft yet hard to keep me in line.
She makes me laugh from time to time.
At a very young age we were wed.
This marriage will never last some said.
14 years have come and gone
and, we still stand before you going strong.
It has not been a smooth road.
and yes, we have carried a full load.
I have made mistakes that I thought she would never forget.
She is by far the strongest woman I have ever met.
She loves me like no other woman.
She stood by me at times when most would run.
When we met she was but seventeen.
The most intriguing person I hade ever seen.
We couldn’t have been more opposite if we tried.
But, our love we could not hide.
Thirty three will be her age as her birthday comes near.
As I remember us in our teens I draw a tear.
So young and full of life with energy to spare,
Loving each other without a care.
Your age might change as the years go by
But, my love for you will never die.
You will for ever remain the love of my life.
