Inspires me

      Inspires me

My words in a closet,
can't open the door.
Ideas on a whim,
may surface no-more

They sit in the dark,
not often are seen.
The plots of a story,
could wash away clean.

My desire to write,
will always exist.
But my muse fell silent, 
should it not persist?

But now a new hope,
a surprising source.
An innocent soul,
I shall ride the course.

From out of her words,
she pours out her soul.
This young child of mine,
should charge me a toll.

The door now open,
the dark turn to light.
New visions flood in,
my writing takes flight.

The courage and strength,
I now draw from Bri.
Her relentless plight,
will now...inspire me.
