What else can I say, it's a very short story about one night, camping in Manitoba, Canada
As a child I lived to go camping, although I rarely go now. When I was six, I went camping with my parents, my three brothers and my sister. From the time that I got out of the people carrier and on to the campsite, I was in my element.

It was when I had to get up in the middle of night to divert a potential bed wetting mishap. The toilets were conveniently about 500 yards from our site and I had been warned about waking anybody up again in the middle of the night. I decided that it would be better for me to get down from the top bunk that I was in, sneak quietly to the door of the camper and carefully make my way outside and down to the toilets.
That was the easy part, the road to the toilets was not well lit and the thought of bringing a torch with me only came to mind once I had closed the door to the camper. The woods were a very scary place for a six year old when it is pitch black outside, luckily there were still a few glowing embers from our camp fire to lead me out of the site and on to the road. There were very high bushes on either side of the road in order to give each campsite an amount of privacy, but in these bushes there must have been hundreds of fireflies that gave me the impression of hundreds of eyes staring out at me. A light breeze caught my from behind and made a howling sound as it passed between the bushes and me. I could hear a twig snapping under my foot and this made me literally jump out of skin and a made beeline for the toilets, where a single light lit the entrance and nothing more.
The shadows on the walls kept on swaying around me while I stood there wondering why I couldn’t do this a little bit faster. Once I was done though, I turned on the faucet to wash my hands, but there must have been some air in the pipes, because a very loud howl came from the faucet that sent a shiver down my spine for only a second before I raced back to the camper. As fast as I could, I opened the door, slammed it shut and scurried up into my bunk.
“What the hell is going on?!” yelled my father.
“Just went to the toilet,” I said and heard a groan from everybody.
The next morning, I woke up to sound of everybody gasping in awe as they looked out into our campsite. Apparently, I was not the only one out there last night as there were large bear paw prints all over the picnic table and around our campsite. Was it the sound of the air in the pipes that had scared it off?
