"Some friend..."

I once had a friend that I respected and looked up to with high praise
I liked how they thought and all their ways
They were the nicest person to talk to and were always honest and true
Ha, it was funny; whenever I didn’t talk to them I felt a little blue
I started talking to them more and more and soon they really gained my trust
Pretty soon they started doing things and that trust along with our friendship began to rust
Weeks went by and every time I would be told a different side
In the end all along they had lied
I just tried to be something they never had before yet I was treated like I was a waste
How I was treated continues to leave me with a bitter taste
I never thought someone could be so deceitful or make me hurt
I was treated like crap and made me feel like dirt
I was the person they could trust, as the only thing I ever did was care and try
It seemed as though the only thing they did was spit in my face and lie
They treated the people that were horrible and treated them like crap great
When they treated people that were good and cared about them with hate
I’ve never been so hurt or lied to in my life
As one of the people I trusted & cared about the most stabbed me in the back with a knife
It really sucks being the nice guy because all you do is take people $#it
You take all the crap and all you do is care…you know what………that’s it……….I quit.
